About Wilkeson Pointe
Wilkeson Pointe is a vibrant, waterside gem on Buffalo’s Outer Harbor that’s perfect for anyone looking to enjoy nature, fun, and beautiful views. Opened in 2013 on a former industrial site, this 14-acre park offers wide paved paths ideal for walking, running, or biking, plus grassy lawns and picnic spots for relaxing or playing games. Look out for the striking wind sculptures and historic marble ruins scattered around—they add character and make it a photographer’s dream.
Though there’s a sandy beach, swimming isn’t allowed yet due to water quality—but you can still sunbathe or fish from the small dock or kayak launch. Seasonal amenities include bike and kayak rentals, and a beer garden/restaurant called “The Pointe” that serves food and drinks during warm months. With serene sunsets over Lake Erie, plenty of space to unwind, and engaging art and green features, Wilkeson Pointe is a must-see destination for a peaceful yet active outing on Buffalo’s waterfront.
